HANOI TRIP

During the raya holiday, I had paid a visit to Hanoi, Vietnam. Indeed it is an old town, but the people that I met there were all young. I can say the average age is around 23 - 25 years old only. An old city with new looks of young generation. They used to roam around with their motorbikes, day and night. That's why the street is busy with all kind of motorbikes and the motorists are without helmet somemore. According to the local, the government with enforce the rule to use helmet from December onwards. So, helmet business will have a bright market there now. Everywhere we will hear the horning sound, but not the banging sound. Eventhough they ride with fast but they are not rude. Extremely difficult to across the road even with the green light of traffic light.

The buildings are narrow and tall. There has no supermarket but retail shops every where. The street was quite organised coz they divided it into specialty of the products being sold, such as handphone street, art street, fashion street, food and beverage street, and so on.

Visited some places by following the simple sketch provided by the hotel manager. Communication is one of our problem and currency as well. We thought that they will be using USD, so we just brought over USD. Who knows, they are using their own currency Vietnam Dong. But they still accept USD la, we have to convert it before we purchased. They are very smart, they charged us higher coz we are not local.

Halong bay was the best spot that I visited during this trip. Peaceful with nice scenery view. No one will deny this.
