Langkawi Trip

This time my family was not following me to Langkawi. So, since the begining, I have told myself, I must get something for this trip. It has been a long time that I never go alone backpack to travel around. Seems odd for others, especially when I was having my meal alone, sun bathing alone, going for shopping alone, jogging alone, 'spaing' alone, walk alone, and many many alone... In fact, not alone, I brought a book along. This book accompany me for the whole trip.
This's not my first time to stay in this resort. Few years ago, I went there with my wife. My chalet was on the hill. So, I need to take shuttle, although I enjoy walking, but at night, it's better to take shuttle coz there are many monkeys jumping around. Who knows the monkey suddenly hug you from the back just to say hello to you!
The open air spa and massage was my 1st experience. Especially the signature massage, really realease my tension and pressure. Luckily there were not so many guests utilising the facilities there, so I can monopoly the jacuzzi, sauna, steam bath and also the waiting lounge enjoying the ginger tea. Taste special.
Since it is a free trade island, so the chocolate and liquer are very cheap over here. Everybody sure will buy few bags of chocolate and liquer to enjoy it. Me too but of course not the liquer la.
I love to jog, so 2 morning I went for jogging along the tracks and also the platform along the beach chalets. Mat Salleh, Japanese, Korean and local tourists were friendly and polite. Perhaps they feel that I am enjoying my life over here or I am crazy jogging early in the morning alone. And I do!
3 days 2 nights stay was not long. But I really enjoy it! I will be back again! With my family this time.

SINGAPORE TRIP 2007

As usual, visiting Singapore during the Christmas Festive Season is my annual event. This year, it seems like not much sales in Singapore. According to them, the economy is not so good there, but the shopping complexes are still full with visitors.
I like Singapore because of their public transport system is really convenient. For 4 days stay in Singapore, I just spent less than SGD20 for the MRT fares. Eat a lot there and of course shopped a lot too, especially my wife. 3 pairs of shoes, several pairs of shirts and skirts and of course my G2000. The chocolate was sold extremely cheap in Singapore compared to Malaysia.
China Town, Tampines, Jurong East, Ang Mo Kio, City Hall, Raffles Place, Woodlands, Redhills, Boon Lay and Bugis .... all of these places have my memories while I was working there. So, every time visit Singapore, I will try to go and see any changes there and refresh my memories, my good time over there.

phD

Today received a call from Dr. Yau, UM. He offered me to undertake a project under his supervision as my phD project. I felt over excited and have a great chance to pursue my phD in UK which I never expect for this. If I do this in full time basis, meaning that I have to quit and concentrate on my studies. Everybody also share my happiness on this matter. Or I should go back to industries? Need some time to consider this. Headache!

WHY FORGIVE?

There is a hard law ... When an injury is done to us, we never recover until we forgive. How should you forgive, and why? I can't tell you. It's probably the hardest thing you'll ever attempt to do. But I can tell you what I've seen and experienced personally: once you are able to let go of wrongs that have been done to you, it changes everything. It will change your relationships, your attitudes, your emotional make-up - your whole approach to living. It will give you a better life. Plus, you'll find that when you forgive, you're always a winner. You don't lose a thing. Because it's not a sign of weakness to love somebody who hurts you. It's a sign of strength.
Hope for a great-sea-change
On the far side of revenge.
Believe that a further shore
Is reachable from here.
Believe in miracles
And cures and healing wells.
Sometimes, even when we recognize the need to forgive, we are tempted to claim that we cannot. It is simply too hard, too difficult - something for saints, maybe, but not the rest of us. We have been hurt just one time too many, we think, or misunderstood. Our side of the story has not been adequately heard. The strongest motivation for forgiveness is always the sense of having received forgiveness ourselves, or - if we do not have that - an awareness that, like everyone else in the human race, we are imperfect and have done things we need to be forgiven for. For me, the act of forgiveness carries a lot of power. It is an assertion of one's dignity to have the means and ability to forgive. .. It may be difficult to understand, because it turns conventional logic on its head, but idealistically speaking, I think that if there is to be peace, there has to be forgiveness ......
Truth without love kills, but love without truth lies.
